Updating from iCue 3.38.61 to iCue 4.17.24

Hello folks

 

Checking for updates to iCue 3.38.61 it said that version was the latest version available. Then I entered Corsair webpage and noticed that theres a new version so Id like to install it but,

 

what is the best way to upgrade the program without losing profiles and configuration?

If you update to 4.17 with iCUE 3.38 already installed it will keep your current profiles and settings.

And then iCue 3.38 would dissapear or id have two icue programs on my pc?

You cannot have two versions of iCUE installed at a time.

but a quick question, why cant i upgrade from the iCue 3.38 itself and i have to use another installer?

You are making a generational change from CUE 3 to CUE 4. It’s not an update, it’s an entire new program albeit one designed to replace what you are currently using. Some users with older hardware cannot make the jump and an auto update would not be appropriate.
