Draxx
Hey there I have 2x 512MB CMX512-3200LL (xms3205v1.2) modules which were purchased some time ago from a dealer here in South Australia who have since gone out of business. They have worked flawlessly up until recently, where they now refuse to run even at the default rated speed. I have to underclock the RAM to DDR333 speed for it to be mostly stable. I would like to send these back for replacement if possible. Thanks in advance EDIT: I forgot to mention that these modules BOTH fail memtest x86 spectacularly on DFI Lanparty NF4 Ultra-D, as well as on Epox 8KDA3+
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted May 19, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted May 19, 2005 Can you tell me the CPU speed and it's FSB? And the bios settings you had set for both CPU and memory?
Draxx
Can you tell me the CPU speed and it's FSB? And the bios settings you had set for both CPU and memory? AMD Athlon64 3200 @ 200 FSB 2-3-2-6 (standard) - I only bought the mainboard for the UV, not the overclocking :)
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted May 19, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted May 19, 2005 What do you mean by "Standard" are you using a performance setting?
Draxx
What do you mean by "Standard" are you using a performance setting? No - By Standard, I mean the recommended settings listed for these modules by CORSAIR - ie http://www.corsairmemory.com/corsair/products/specs/twinx1024-3200ll.pdf I dont believe it to be the settings, otherwise it wouldn't have worked in my 8kda3+ 6 months ago :) I currently have 2 identical models in the 8kda3+ which work fine at stock settings. The modules that I'm saying are faulty do not work at the same settings.
