M4ngo
Hey all! Another question came to mind while I was plugging in all the plugs into my mobo. I noticed that the thermal sensor plug is not fitting into my Crosshair VIII Hero (Wi-Fi) mobo’s T Sensor, which is a problem. Is there any where else I could plug in the pump’s thermal sensor? Maybe a W in or W out port? Any help is appreciated! Thank you!
c-attack
It's a two prong connector and the spec list for your board lists it as "1 x T-Sensor Connector". Typically it is squeezed into the lower right corner with a half dozen other strange looking plugs you may or may not use. Check the diagram from the owner's manual for the MB. It should give a more exact location. If it does not fit, that may be the result of a different end connector type. Corsair ones are flat and others use a fatter plug style. However, typically these all work. *However, if you have decided to use the Commander Core XT, then you should connect it there. That will allow direct access of the data to the fan controller. This will be a benefit for fan and pump control. Edited October 31, 2021 by c-attack

Sadly my specific mobo has another button on top that makes it impossible to plug the pin in due to it being too slim of a space to fit. so with this issue, should I plug it into the W_IN or W_OUT ports instead? c-attack
Water In/Out should work too, but I was surprised your board had them. They are also both 2 prong and meant for that. Go ahead if you can connect it. It doesn't matter which one you use, but to see it you'll need to add the MB as a device in the CUE dashboard. However, if you are using the MB for control and not the Com Core XT, you may want the AI Suite fan controls or something else you can see and change from the desktop. You should be able to change the BIOS fan curves to be dependent on the water temp value in the Advanced BIOS -> Monitoring column. I don't think it will show in the EZ BIOS Q-Fan section.
