KevinH666
Hi, Have a ASUS NCCH-DL (bois 1003) with a TWINX1024-3200C2 memory module (2 x 512mb) and 1 x 3.6 Xeon Each module works fine by itself (tested with Prime95, MS Mem test) But will not work dual channel, either slots 1,3 or 2,4 - machine boots but both Prime95 and MS Mem test fail I'm running standard settings (no overclock) and using SPD, which is 2,3,3,8 which is slightly different to what is stated on your website (2,3,3,6) Is this a memory problem or more likely to be a motherboard issue (hopefully not motherboard as i have already had this replaced) Thanks in advance Kevin..... Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted May 19, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted May 19, 2005 Please make sure that any performance settings are set to AUTO and set these timings manually and test the modules one at a time with http://www.memtest.org. AI Over Clock Tuner: Manual CPU Freq: 200 MHz Memory Frequency: 100%/DDR400 Dim Voltage to 2.75 Volts Resulting Frequency: 200MHz/400DDR Legacy USB: Disabled SDRAM CAS Latency: 2T SDRAM RAS to CAS Delay (tRCD): 3T SDRAM Row Precharge (tRP): 3T SDRAM Active to Precharge Delay (tRAS): 6T

Tried the same settings with both modules and it failed. Thanks in advance Kevin.....
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted May 19, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted May 19, 2005 If both modules pass one up then that would suggest some other problem, and the Dim Voltage will be under Jumper Free Config and you have to set AI Over clock tuner to Manual. Or something close to that, please check the user manual, as they state you can adjust the voltage on the web site.

Hi, Are you sure we are talking about the same motherboard, ASUS NCCH-DL I looked at the ASUS website, and also loaded the latest BIOS (1004) and it makes no mention of Dim Voltage or AI Over clock being available for this board. Thanks in advance, Kevin....
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted May 19, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted May 19, 2005 Kevin, I have not seen this MB as of yet as it's not been available to us. And the information was given to me by someone else interested in the MB who got it from the web site and or manual they downloaded. I would suggest you contact the MB maker and ask them to help you with the bios as they should know, but I would not be surprised in ASUS Tech support has not seen that MB either as it takes them 6-8 Months sometimes to get new MB's from what I have seen.
