RMA for bad stick

Recommended Posts

A few months ago I ordered two sticks of 512mb RAM, VS512MB400Cs, Lot 0444036-0 through newegg.com. A week ago my dell computer began blue screening. Its a P4 2.6ghz running winXP pro and already had 2 sticks of 256mb ram from dell. I thought at first the issue was a recent winXP patch 0which i had downloaded because after i restarted i blue screened. Eventually I tried to format thinking it was the OS but when trying to re-install windows I kept getting errors. After being frustrated I ran the dell diagnostic disk and it said errors were occuring on one of my ram dimms, pulled out the two corsair sticks and the machine passed tests, i then ran the test on each stick individually. The one passes, the other does not. While trying to fill out the RMA form i found i needed to post here first for a ticket/post number. Also for the form where exactly is the Module Part Number and the Module Quantity? And do I need to mail in both sticks since I bought them as a set, or can i keep the one as it passed the tests and is working fine in my box.

The Forum Post Number: #191588 is at the top of your post and I would not suggest mixing our modules with what came with your system. But I would agree it sounds like you have one failing and we will be happy to replace it.
