JamesW
Hi, I am trying to use a set of TWINX1024-4400C25PT but my computer keeps restarting just before windows finishes loading. I'm running them at specified timings and voltage but it just won't load. I have tried to flash my bios to a later one but this hasn't helped at all, i'm still getting the same problem. My motherboard is a DFI NF4 so i think these are compatible? Look forward to hearing from you James
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted May 18, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted May 18, 2005 Can you tell me the make and model of MB you have along with the CPU speed and it’s FSB as well? In addition, please tell me the bios settings you have set for both CPU and memory and any performance settings that you may have set?
JamesW
Hi, It's a DFI NF4 Sli. The CPU speed is 1800mhz and it uses 200fsb. I have all the memory timings set to auto but when it posts the timings are mentioned as 2.5, 4, 4,
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted May 18, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted May 18, 2005 Please test the modules one at a time with http://www.memtest.org and I would set the Dim Voltage to 2.7 Volts as well, but load setup/optimized defaults before you chnage the voltage. If you do find one failing then lets get it or them replaced. Please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it! However; if you get errors with both modules, that would suggest some other problem. And I would try testing the memory in another system to be sure.
