Cyratics
Title is self-explanatory. I want to avoid using the core if possible since I already have a node core for my RGB. My motherboard also has two headers for CPU fans (aka the fans on my rad) and a specific AIO pump header. Clearing this question up before i purchase would be appreciated! c-attack
Yes, the Commander Core is required. Power to the pump along with LED and speed control is through the controller. You do not have to move the RGB connectors for the fans, but no Com Core then no power. It also is a better fan controller for the radiator fans. CPU temp from your motherboard is not the best choice and will cause the fans to needlessly ramp up and down all day as the CPU loads/unloads. Coolant temperature data comes from the Commander Core controller and is the proper control variable.
