Make sure you are not running other monitoring software that attempts to access the Corsair controller (AIO/Commander). HWiNFO and AIDA are common examples and this eventually causes one or both programs to lock up.  “Disappearing fans” is a common side effect. You will need to quit and restart the CUE app and services in the task manager after quitting the other program — or restart the PC.

You can set up HWiNFO to run along side CUE if needed.  You must stop HWiNFO from monitoring Corsair internal devices.  The prime concerns are a H-series AIO and the Commander Pro/Core fan controller.  RGB stuff does not matter.  Corsair RAM and PSU monitoring is usually OK, but I can't say I have confirmed every PSU.   Right click on the device name in HWiNFO (Commander or AIO) and disable the monitoring.  Specifically for AIOs and HWiNFO, there is an additional checkbox in the safety tab (settings off little launch window) named "Link/Asetek Support".  Uncheck this as well for AIOs.
