Dfich
Hi guys wondering if someone could offer some advice, I've just received a new prebuilt system from pcs using the h150i elite cap and the 5000d case. I'm just trying to set up fan curves and noticed something. The pump is set to cpu fan which I believe is correct, the fans for the rad are on fan ch3, I can change the rgb colours etc fine but for some reason if I change the rad fans to extreme for instance, only the centre fan speeds up, the 2 outer fans seem to be at a constant 600-800 rpm. I'd like to be able to control all 3 obviously for cooling purposes at higher loads. Any help would be appreciated. Thx
c-attack
You'll need to trace the PWM wire from each radiator fan back to the Commander Core controller to figure out the port number or one at time set each fan header to 100% to find the corresponding fan. The builder should not have used a triple splitter to connect all three radiator fans to 1 control port.
DevBiker
Once you do sort your fans, you'll want to set your fan curve to use the pump temperature not the CPU temperature. The fans on the radiator don't cool the CPU ... they cool the liquid, which then cools the CPU. So you want to speed up/slow down your fans based on the pump/coolant temperature. That will also give you a much smoother curve.

This is the weird thing, I've got 7 case fans and there's only 3 plugged into commander core. Setting each channel to 100% cha1 sets all 3 fans to 100, cha2 seta rear exhaust and cha3 only sets the centre fan on the rad. I suppose this is what I get for being lazy and not building myself although pc specialist are meant to be "reputable". I'll strip it down later and have a look. Thx again

Dfich
Just a quick question, I'm assuming the best way to set this up correctly would be the plug pump tach into cpu fan header, then the 3 front case fans and 3 rad fans into the commander core and set curves in icue? I've been researching the forums and this seems correct but then I also see conflicting setups on other sites.
c-attack
You should be able to plug all your fans into the Commander Core so they are all adjustable from the desktop on demand. You can use the same curve for the top fans as the front or you can set up something slightly different. In your setup, you probably need only a consistent flow from the front when the gpu is under continuous load (gaming), so the sensor can be GPU temp, coolant temp, or motherboard temp. It’s possible to get the desired results from all three. It just occurred to me the builder may have used the PWM hub from the case to power some of the fans. This is OK, but it makes all of the fans run the same speed. This is just fine if you put all three from the front on it or all three from the radiator. You don’t need independent speed control for either of those sets and this would help with fan setup. However, the original description is puzzling so I’m not sure if there is a random mix of fans connected to it. The PWM hub is a small matchbook sized fan connector that looks like a circuit board. It is usually mounted higher up on the back side of the case. Edited September 3, 2021 by c-attack

Temps are 10c better aswell so I guess like you say everything was running the same. Thanks a lot for your time mate much appreciated 🙏
