K70 shows rainbow profile on boot-up and screen lock

I'm keeping my default profile static red but when I boot up or lock the screen, the keyboard displays the rainbow profile. I found a few threads saying that the 3 default default hardware profiles might house the effect. One of the profiles did, so I went ahead and set that profile to red but no matter what, it keeps displaying the rainbow profile. 

Any thoughts on why this might be occurring? Thanks!

What version of iCUE are you using? Setting hardware profiles for that keyboard, if it's the original K70 and not a K70 mk.2, would be unavailable on iCUE 4. There are specific older versions we'd need to help you get in order to set that up.
