smitty3123
Hey guys- I'm new here and this is my first post. I just picked up an Abit AV8 (bios 19) and 2 sets of TWINX1024-3200XL. I have all four slots filled. When the systems boots, it sees all of the mem. as DDR400, but then runs it at DDR333. Currently I have all bios settings at their default settings. What I'm looking for is some optimum settings for voltages and timings. I'm really new to all this. Thanks in advance for any advice.
Wired
333 Mhz is normal. It's a limitation of the memory controller on most of the AMD64s. When 4 sticks are used, it lowers it to 333 Mhz.
Garvin
You might try changing the Command Rate to 2T as suggested by RAM GUY for my Asus board. I'm running two Twinx1024-3200xl kits(two gigs total) at 400mghz with the command rate set to 2T and it's rock stable. Running all four sticks at 400mghz is partially dependent on the memory controller and it might work or might not depending on your cpu/memory controller.
