RM750x, one double cable or two for 6800 XT?

My RM750x came with cables for GPUs that have two 8 pin connectors on one cable. To plug in an AMD Radeon 6800 XT that has two 8 pin sockets is it OK to use one cable or should I use two? If using two cables is best, why are there two on one cable other than to make a dangly bit that looks sad?

use one cable par connector as much as possible. this card clocks at 300 - 320W so it's better to spread the load across two cables. you may experience crashes or cable heating if it even works with just one.

the pigtail is okay when you are just above the max power for one cable which is 150W. these are beefy enough to take some overload, but maybe not double load 🙂

and yes.. they look ugly ^^'
