mikejson
Hi, I was talkin with Ram Guy a while back, can't seem to find that thread now... Anyway, I went from VS ram to the XMS stuff cause I thought I wsa having compatibility issues. Right now I have the following settings (all manual, as I heard the auto settings on this mobo are borked) 166MHz FSB 11.5(whatever default is for AMD 2500+ Barton) 100% mem timings(resulting mem speed 166) 6 3 2 2(Ram Guy recommended this, when I put ram timings to auto, it gives 7-3-3-2, but I'm running with what Ram Guy recommended) vdimm 2.8 vcore whatever the default was(but I set it manually) 1.7 I think it was or 1.65 everything else manually set, but set to what the auto settings would give. Now, the only thing that made me start testing again was those lovely 132 errors I'm getting in WoW(do a google, or look at forums.worldofwarcraft.com if your interested... alot of people are getting them and Blizzard is claiming unstable systems are the cause). So, I ran memtest for an overnight period, no errors.(this was like almost 40 passes) I ran that windows mem diagnostic over night, no errors.(this was almost 60 passes) I then proceeded to run Prime95. I got an error in the torture test that said the following. FATAL ERROR: Rounding was 0.4999847412, expected less than 0.4 Hareware failure detected, consult stress.txt file This happened at 59mins. What should I do? WoW doesn't run properly, and Prime95 gave me an error, so I'm going to assume something is wrong... but what? New board, new ram, I think my CPU is fine(it worked in my other board, my other board's BIOS crapped out somehow... so I had to buy new). Where do I go from here? I gave them a shot with WoW, and I got the 132 error, so I'm not sure if Prime is going to fair much better, but I'm going for it(I want to prove to Blizz it's their game... hehe so I will test Prime95). I'll let ya know the results, let me know if you think I should try another ram timing set after this one.

FATAL ERROR: Rounding was 0.5, expected less than 0.4 Hardware failure detected, consult stress.txt file. Any other ideas? I'm going to go around town and see if I can pick up a cheap CPU(Barton 2500 or 3200, something exactly the same...).
mikejson
I looked up my ram on the corsair site and it said 5-2-2-2. Gave that a shot, no dice... 15mins and Prime95 got a fatal error... same as the last one. I got a sempron I'm going to toss in today, see if that works(I don't even know if the board can run it, but I got it cheap, and I can return it the guy said hehe...) I'll get to the bottom of this eventually
