Will Corsair 8GB DDR4 3200MHz CL16 Vengeance RGB PRO AMD work with an intel processor

Hi guys,

 

I have a couple of questions:

 

 

1. I just got all my parts for my new build delivered today. As I started to build the PC I noticed that I hade bought the wrong ram memory. I hade bought the:

 

Corsair 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 3200MHz CL16 Vengeance RGB PRO AMD :eek:

(CMW16GX4M2Z3200C16)

 

When I should have bought the:

 

Corsair 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 3200MHz CL16 Vengeance RGB PRO SL

(CMH16GX4M2Z3200C16)

 

(Or some other version tuned for an Intel processor)

 

Should I send them back to the dealer and try to change them or doesn't it matter so much? :confused:

 

2. When I unpacked the motherboard (Asus z590-F Gamin Wifi) I noticed that the processor is limited to 2933 mhz and I have bought the 3200mhz versions. Is that an issue or will the 3200mhz work fine? :confused:

EDIT:

Sorry, I got the versions of the memory all mixed up. I actually do have the:

 

Corsair 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 3200MHz CL16 Vengeance RGB PRO SL

(CMH16GX4M2Z3200C16)

 

When I bought them it didn't say anything about Intel or AMD, but when they arrived at home I noticed that it says "Optimized for AMD" on the packaging.

 

Same question applies: Should I send them back to the dealer and try to change them or doesn't it matter so much?

 

2. And will the 3200mhz work fine even thought the Intel i9 10900K is limited to 2933mhz?

It will work fine and you should have no issue running at 3200Mhz. Just enable XMP in the BIOS.
