iCUE APPCRASH

Recommended Posts

Since I've installed the new iCUE 4.12.214 all it takes is to hover my mouse over the system tray icon for it to immediately crash. If I open the app and keep it open, it works just fine (at least I haven't seen it crashing yet). It is only when I minimize to the system tray and try to open it again that the issue happens. Older versions did not have any problem, and I do not have any of the unsuportted products in iCUE 4.

I have tried to fully uninstall the app and delete all related folders in the hard drive as well as in Regedit, no effect.

Can I just ask what's the point of Corsair including a built in updating feature? It locks up and doesn't work and they know it, and when you call the script readers on the phone, they even have a workaround at the ready which shouldn't even be necessary. I can somewhat understand going from version 3 of the software to 4, but now ICUE shows another update, and guess what, it hangs. This is inept lazy a s s moron software developers not doing their job!

Have you contact our support team by opening a ticket at https://help.corsair.com?

You are most likely running another third-party program that is causing the conflict. It is always advised that you close all other programs running in the background before attempting to update. It is also advised that you ensure your BIOS, Windows, and all drivers are fully updated as those are also likely causes for updates failing.
