tyrannosaurus
Hi, I wonder if there is a solution to this problem. The RTX3080 needs 3x8-Pin cables, but the SF600 has only 2x8-Pin cables. I just need an interim solution until the next PSU generation arises. Is there any workaround? What happens to the RTX3080 if only 2x8-Pin are connected? Will it work? LeDoyen
it will work unless you have some silly custom vbios that enables it to go past 400W or so, which would probably crash your SF600 anyway. 3080s with 3 connectors usually work fine with two cables, the latter one having two daisy chain connectors (pigtail cable). tyrannosaurus
Thank use for your help. But crash doesn't mean broken?
LeDoyen
no you may trigger the overcurrent protection if the GPU pulls too much current. Nvidia recommends 750W, so you'll see if it works :) It will look like a complete PC shutdown, but it won't damage anything
Vegan
Now you know I use 1000W+ power supplies I have long used power pig video cards so I can speak from experience, never cut corners with the PSU

Vegan
he's doing a SFF build.. RTX 3080 and SFF do not mesh well A pint sized card like my EVGA GTX 1060 however would fit like a glove
