returnofthem
I recently got a Sabre RGB Pro champion series and initially everything was fine. The other day, iCUE decided to update itself and also the mouse firmware. Since then, I've had the following problems: Hardware lighting setup doesn't seem to get saved to the mouse, so if iCUE isn't running or if I use the mouse on a different PC, it defaults to waterfall rather than my hardware lighting profileDPI changes don't get saved to the mouse either, so if iCUE isn't running or if I use the mouse on a different PC they return to their default settingsDPI changes in different profiles don't work. If I set up a "Windows" profile with a "Windows" DPI profile linked to it, and a "Gaming" profile with a "Gaming" DPI profile linked to it, then when I switch from Windows to Gaming the DPI profile should change as well but it doesn't. I've tried pretty much everything I can think of including multiple reinstalls / clean installs of iCUE, but nothing fixes it. I even tried installing the mouse + iCUE on a totally different PC and it still won't work. Looks like either the firmware is buggy, iCUE is buggy or both. Anyone else having similar problems? returnofthem
Yep, done that several times and just did it again - still doesn't work. Hardware lighting settings aren't retained by the mouse, hardware DPI settings aren't retained by the mouse, and DPI profiles can't be associated to system profiles. Honestly, this is really poor. These are key features of the product and they just don't work, apparently due to buggy software releases seeing as they were working previously. This seems to have been acknowledged already here: https://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?t=206962 I also raised a support request about this over a week ago and Corsair have yet to respond to that either. Has anyone found a solution? Hey there! Sorry you're having some trouble. I've seen your post in the iCUE section as well and you've said you've already sent a ticket in? What is your ticket number so I can check up on it.

returnofthem
iCUE v4.13.223 is out, and still no fix for this issue. A mouse driver which is over 1GB, drains the battery like mad, and doesn't actually work with Corsair products... it's so bad it's almost impressive. returnofthem
Yep, did that. Their only response so far has been to suggest a clean install of iCUE. I went one further and did a clean install of Windows and it still doesn't work. I realise there's not much you can do personally, I'm just trying to make sure this issue gets the attention it needs because this is literally a broken product right now. returnofthem
Hey there. Just wanting to check in on your issue. How is everything? The initial response was a suggestion to do a clean install of iCUE, which I did - I even did a clean install of Windows. Neither of those had any effect. I've had another response in the last hour or so saying it's being escalated to the mouse specialist team to have a look at, so at least it sounds like it's making progress. returnofthem
I have an update! After two months of arguing with Corsair tech support about this while they tried to blame me for it (have you done a clean install, have you updated the firmware properly...) they have finally... admitted that firmware version 1.9.25 broke hardware lighting for this mouse. They have also flatly refused to provide any kind of timescale for when they might fix it. Whilst waiting for Corsair support to do anything even vaguely useful, I've found a very helpful Reddit thread which provides instructions on how to downgrade the firmware back to a version where Corsair haven't crippled this feature. Obviously doing this is at your own risk yadda yadda yadda, but it worked for me for now. My takehome messages here are: Corsair hardware might be good but their software is hot garbage The only thing worse than Corsair software is Corsair support I'll leave it as an exercise to the reader to decide whether this experience is something you'd accept for the price you're paying for this product.
