1000D + 3090 + EKWB + i9

Recommended Posts

Hey guys

Im new to this forum, so thought i would share my recent build.

Started in January 2021 building & modding this case. Due to lack of spare-time (work & family) I recently got to finish it... except for those last 3 tubes that looks AWEFULL!. 3 of the tubings has to be done again, since i wasnt happy and didnt have the right lenght as well, but i was so frustrated that i couldnt use my PC, so decied to order new parts home from Germany and make them again at a later point. But now i regreat doing this setup and this case. The case is way to large (IMO) and are thinking about moving some of the parts over to a new case. Only time will tell :P

I've done everything myself, including powder coating, welding the psu shroud and back-mounting plate for the reservoirs ect ect

Made my own custom cables so i could extend the RGB-cables coming from the fans. PWM cables has also been extended (those i bought tho).

Proberly forgot to mention something, but if you got questions, just ask. Im using corsair iCue to controle fan-speed and RGB lightning. I found a schematic on the web on how to connect so many fans & rgb ect, but turns out - I found another more simple solution that didnt require more corsair hubs of any kind. Whatever works right? :D:

I think it looks great. Why do you regret getting the case/the setup? I think it looks fine on the table but are you worried that it might be too heavy for the table or that some of it is edging off (which I feel is kind of the situation from my perspective). How heavy did that end up being?

Also I'm glad I got to your post before it gets lost in the threads! If you want to post more pictures, you can make your own gallery in the Gallery section! Great job!

The case is so big the back exhaust fans are basically here just for shows ^^' i guess that's a downside of it on this desk.

The temperatures are awesome.. but you can get the same result in a single loop on a 011 XL, guess that's another downside of this case, it's overkill. But that's also why people love it : it's overkill 🙂

49 on the GPU looks just a hair higher than what it could be though. Watch out for pump speed, it matters a lot more with the 3090. It pumps out so much heat that Increasing the pump speed can shave off a few °C very easily.

Great build though and you have more patience than i with cable management! i can't imagine having to deal with that many fans !
