Need some quality clarification from NIGHTSWORD RGB owners

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone. I plan to buy a new gaming mouse and was looking at Corsair NIGHTSWORD RGB. I've read about some "defects" that this mouse usually has and now I'm looking if any of you the NIGHTSWORD owners are facing the same issues.

Some of the issues:

1. Wobbly side buttons (forward & back)

2. Wobbly DPI buttons (I've read that the DPI increase button sometimes pops out on rapid clicking)

3. Rubberized texture below the right mouse button is not "glued" enough to the frame (you can push it in with your finger as it's not glued)

Can NIGHTSWORD RGB owners please test this and tell me if you also have those issues.

Thank you!

none of the above.

the rubber is not glued, it's double shot injection modling, so if it comes apart it's 100% a factory defect and not misuse = easy RMA

Beware of the brutes that destroy equipment :)

That said, the rubber is pretty crappy, if it hasn't been changed since. mine is basically slick under the thumb, and shreds around the thumb. And that was after 6 months of use.

By comparison my 3 years old G502 also went slick in the same area, but the rubber doesn't disintegrate.

I also rust guitar strings in 2 hours.. so if you have a normal skin, discard my comment :)

Thank you for your detailed comment. It looks like a lottery with Corsair peripherals, you never know what you'll get. Are you overall happy with the mouse or would you recommend other models?

it's sitting in a drawer. i took it out just to check the buttons for you lol

I don't use it mostly because i ditched iCUE, and because for my hands, the G502 is more comfortable. Otherwise, apart from the rubber that can't resist my Alien acid skin, it was a good mouse, if you like beefy heavy ones, which is what i was after.

I haven't tried other Corsair mice so ican't recommend anything really. That's one where brand shouldn't come into account. It has to be a mouse that's comfortable above anything.
