AUSTINPWR Posted May 11, 2005 Share Posted May 11, 2005 I purchase a dell dimension 3000 that has dual inline memory. The memory dell used is 2 Promos PC3200 256mb ddr 400mhz cl3 for 512mb. (v826632k24satg-d3) I purchased 1 gb memory module kit (VS1gbkit400c3) and when I installed the memory and powered up the pc the computer beeps and does not boot up. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted May 12, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted May 12, 2005 Most of the OEM systems did not include the bios information need to decode faster memory, so you would need to use DDR333 mememory with this system.
