Hi I was thinking purchasing three Corsair sp120 rgb elite fans. Are they good for cooling a radiator? I understand they are static pressure fans however I'm curious if the new 'airflow technology' is good for radiators?

The directional vanes appear to have more value in guiding airflow in the case, rather than through a dense fin array. It is similar to most of the other Corsair RGB fans in radiator performance, but not quite as efficient as the ML series. There is a 3rd party review here.

If you are trying to match LED counts with existing 8 LED fans like the ML-Elite or SP-Elite, than go ahead. The consistent color tone and appearance is likely worth much more than 0.5C in coolant reduction. If you are generally shopping and preffer QL or LL fans, I would say get what you like. Unless you are putting a single fan on a single panel radiator (120mm) with a high watt component (GPU), fan choice is never going shift more than 1-2C and that is at high speeds.
