SmokinBarrel
RMA R78291 Okay, normally I don't beach to much being as laid back as I am. But, I'll admit, I must say something about Corsair's return policy. If I'm not mistaken, your warranty use to say 1 or 2 day return shipment. But now, it says 3 day shipping. Is this in response to all the returns your receiving to save money? Maybe I should charge Corsair for my "downtime", or what would does the extra day cost me in downtime? I'll bet you'd be surprised at the inconvenience! I suppose I'm big on "quality the first time"! But, I'm an individual, and not a company, who has "downtime"! The service, technical response via phone and "RAMGuy" is execellent, but I'd figure Corsair to have a blanket contract with a preferred shipper (fedex, UPS, etc...) to allow for reduced shipping costs, or savings to Corsair for 2 day shipping rather than 3 day ship. Note: if my RMA was found to be buyers fault, I retract my complaint above. Just Curious, St. Louis, MO
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted May 11, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted May 11, 2005 I moved your post to Customer Care as that would be the correct place for this question. 1. We have always since I have been in Tech support (3 Years) shipped modules back 3 day UPS. So I am not sure where the 2 day air shipping came from. 2. We do state that we will replace new modules with in 24-48 hours, but usually the same day, and it used to be 24 hours. This was changed because of the increase in part #'s and it was harder for our production and RMA staff to cross some of the older #'s. Not to mention our volume has went up more than 10 X since I started here so we have more volume going and coming. But our return rate is less that .0015 on average which has came down with volume. And still the majority of the modules returned test with no problem. About 60-80%. 3. And your RMA #R78291 was processed on the 9th so you should get the new modules tomorrow or Friday at the latest. And you can send an email to rma@corsairmemory.com with your RMA# and ask them for tracking information if you like.
SmokinBarrel
Thanks, I've already received the tracking number. Corsair's customer service/technical service is top notch. But, I see the "3-day" return shipment as a bottleneck to your current RMA system!? I'll bet a 2 - 3 year contract with Fedx or UPS would lower your shipping costs and speed delivery time? just a suggestion... 1. 2 - 3 year contract with FEDX or UPS for 2-day deliveries. 2. Keep your current Warranty at 3-day delivery to avoid complaints. Thanks for the response, St. Louis, MO
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted May 11, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted May 11, 2005 Thanks for your suggestions I will pass it along. I know that we review our shipping accounts about every 3-6 months with UPS and FEDEX and DHL. Please let me know if you have any more questions or problems.
