PC3200 Dual Channel Value Select

Recommended Posts

Just got the RAM two months ago from ZipZoomFly. The packaging was bent, as was (partially but noticably) one of the sticks. The system seemed to boot fine, and passed Memtest... and since it was my backup PC I left it at that. Well, the past few days I've been messing around with it and it keeps crashing. If just one of the sticks is installed, it seems to be okay (dual-channel or not), but with both sticks in the system crashes.

Can you tell me the make and model of MB you have along with the CPU speed and it’s FSB as well? In addition, please tell me the bios settings you have set for both CPU and memory and any performance settings that you may have set?

What is the CPU speed and its default FSB? and what settings do you have set for both CPU and memory? I really doubt you would be able to over clock a Mobil CPU at 200 MHz from it's default of 133 Mhz and have the system be stable with out tweaking the bios.

The default speed is 1.8 (2400+), 266fsb

The RAM speed is left at "optimum" settings: 3,3,3,8 (also tried CAS2.5)

These CPU's are known for doing 2.4 and up, PLUS the system was fine when I was using the dual-channel OCZ Platinum in there. It's the RAM, bar none.
