Commander Core weird Issue (Experts)

Recommended Posts

Hello Everyone, I came here to look for a solution for my weird issue :(

So I do have a build which is exactly like the photo I already attached but what I encounter is that my ICUE software doesn't detect my Commander core unfortunately therefor I can't control my AIO Fans rgb nor Fans speed also I can't even control my Pump rgb :(

I did setup all my build as the photo.

Corsair H150i elite capellix with 3 radiator ML120 Fans + 6xQL120 fans.

1xCommander pro

2xlightning node core (comes with the QL120 Fans)

My Motherboard is Z390 asus rog strix gaming E.

Case Lian Li 011 dynamic.

It's really sad for me since it is my first build in my life :(.

Any helpful comment would be appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

1. there is no photo :(

2. Is the commander core sata power connector connected?

3. Is the commander core's usb connector connected properly to the motherboard?

4. is it a commander core or pro? if pro, does the white led on it light up?

5. did you try reinstalling icue if 1-3 is ok?

Commander Pro has no white LED,, has a single green and

red one.. neither light to denote power... it will Flash green upon boot and any time it communicates with the Host PC.. it will go Red when in Boot loader Mode or has a communications Error....

@ the op..

where do you have your Commander Core Plugged into?. and is the pump head lit up red?

Lul,you're right it's green. I blame my ml's rgb shining in purple on it, seemed white to me :idea:

and yes, on start-up only, but that's maybe a first indicator this time.

You have several devices that require a USB 2 connection. You will need to explain exactly how they are all connected. You seem to have more devices than available ports. If you are connecting the Commander Core through a Commander Pro usb pass through port, is it detected when connected directly?

we need to cancel out the Commander core being at fault before anything else.

as said above...

First question should be. has the Commander Core been tried direct to the motherboards internal 9pin usb2 header and all its other connections checked... should this work fine then we start to suggest the NZXT internal usb hub.. which is unusual on an intel z390 system.

OP would also need to make sure all mobo drivers are up to date if its a new build....
