Building my Obsidian 1000D Dual PC

Recommended Posts

Hi, I'm new here :-)

I started to buy pieces for this project since August 2020, started the build in November 2020 and recently added the ITX system. I consider it as a long term project. I'm already 6 month in so I'll try to finish it in the next 6 Month.

So the setup is this (and detailled specs are in my "PC Specs"):

The main machine is Combo Gaming/WorkStation for graphic designs 2d/3d.

The secondary machine is for HD/4k video capture, lan gaming dedicated server, Data Recovery Scans and a secondary gaming rig when friends come.

I still don't have all the fans, just a minimum, not did any liquid cooling yet but I plan to once everything is in place.

Still need fan power clable extender, I should be able to find that here I think.

And I still have the basic psu power cables that came with the 2 psu.

For the RGB, for now I have the Commander Pro that is included and 2 RBG hub. My color theme is RED, for the future liquid coolling I think to do a mix of Red & Black.

So that it for now, I'll add posts as it go forward.

Good luck with the build, are you air cooling or water cooling?

Update, Sadly the itx little motherbopard lasted 2 weeks and now I got a cpu led on. got some pros to check it, verdict, motherboard done^^, at least it still covered and I will get a another one identical...

Sold the 2 Titans, so for now I will be really ok with the 2080Ti, found a beautiful Rog Poseidon Platinum 1080Ti with cool leds who can be liquid coolled as an option. so it could be the gpu for the ITX machine.

  • 4 weeks later...
Linus said we could fit a dog or 3 (or him passed in the blender then pourred in the tower) but we know for sure it fit a 25 pounds big cat!

My dear Cat Snoopy died 4 days ago, he was aged 16 years, so I'm taking a brake and will continue this project later...
