HELP! Corsair H1151i idle: 51 C, load, 85 C

Hi! I am new to this AIO thingy and I am currently using a Ryzen 7 3800X with an NZXT H510 case. The thing is, I recently switched to the Corsair H1151i because my temps from an air cooler isn't helping pretty much.

 

I need to know why this happens and how to resolve it.

 

Highest temp I got when loaded is around 87 degrees celsius.

We need to distinguish between a physical problem causing this (poor CPU-block contact) and a software state where the CPU is loaded. If you quit CUE, do the temps return to normal? If not, also quit Corsair.Service (32 bit) and Corsair.Service.CpuIdRemote.

 

If that does not help, then you need to look at the physical mounting of the pump. You may need to remove it and look at the TIM spread. Any uneven patches or TIM that did not spread indicate the block and CPU are not in full contact.

 

Also, which "H115i" do you have? There are 6-7 different models that contain that part of the name. Elite? Platinum? XT? Pro? Or just plain "H115i"?

Airlock? Try tilting your case from front to back, side to side.

Which H115i do you have? Can you take some pictures? Also, are you using the stock fans? Are you set to intake or exhaust? What is the temperature in the room? Are you overclocked any or have PBO set aggresive?
