Corsair Created a Monster - DITCH iCue 4 please!

Ok, I am not someone who is against progress, but Progress means:

 

Something new must be better then the product it is replacing.

 

iCue 4 is defenately not that.

• User Interface: Totally unworkable, special when you own a iCue Nexus
  
• Stability: Not able to run an hour before crashing
  
• Wokability: Need more steps to get something done and not even sure if it works
  
• Lots of bugs: Like rename a sensor, does not work, you can rename it but on my iCue it still reads Temp #1 for example.
  

 

 

I don't know who decided to replace iCue 3 with iCue 4. But I was surprised when I did see my iCue 3 replaced with iCue 4 this morning and lost approx 65 settings on my Nexus. Not even to mention my icons and backgrounds.

I had a similar issue with renaming sensors when I first upgraded to iCue 4. While not a great solution, I found re-adding the widgets to my Nexus monitoring screens resolved the issue.

you forgot the most important part: Not supporting a lot of devices anymore....

You can fix the sensor renaming issue by manually renaming them in the file located here

C:\Users\{profilename}\AppData\Roaming\Corsair\CUE4\sensors
