Decimation
I have two modules that are both getting errors with memtest x86, I have tried them in my Abit IC7-G MaxII and my Abit AN8 with the same results.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted May 10, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted May 10, 2005 Getting errors with both modules would suggest some other problem. Can you tell me the make and model of MB you have along with the CPU speed and it’s FSB as well? In addition, please tell me the bios settings you have set for both CPU and memory and any performance settings that you may have set?
Decimation
Motherboard 1 Abit AN8 Most recent bios and all settings at default CPU 1 Athlon 64 3800+ stock NOT overclocked Motherboard 2 Abit IC7-G Most recent bios and again all settings at default Cpu 2 Pentium 4 2.8C 800FSB Not overclocked New development, put them in a friends computer and get the same errors, when he runs memtest he gets none using the exact same part # from Corsair.(we purchased the ram at the same time) He has Pentium 4 3.0 800 FSB, Asus P4C800-Deluxe. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted May 10, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted May 10, 2005 Please try and set the Dim Voltage to 2.7X Volts and then test the modules one at a time with http://www.memtest.org. And you may need to disable legacy USB when running any memory test with ASUS P4 MB's. If you still get errors then please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it!
