equist
I currently have a CMX512-3200C2 stick in my system now. Would there be any negative performance issues with adding a CMX1024-3200C2 next to it (total of 1.5 GB RAM)? I've heard that you should pair them, either (2) 512 sticks or (2) 1024 sticks, but I'm reluctant to get another 512 because I'll eventually upgrade them to 1024's. Any clarification would be appreciated, thanks
YoueatLard
The two may not want to run together at C2 latencies but you may get lucky. More realisticly you may have to loosen the timings to Cas 2.5 or even 3. Other then this there should be no problem.
equist
Pardon my beginner's experience, but how do you loosen the timings? Thank you for the response.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted May 10, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted May 10, 2005 You shou,d not mix these modules ezpecially if youe system is dual channel. You would be better off with a Twinx20480-3200C2
