mvet
Hello everyone, and thanks in advance for reading my post. I bought a T3 rush a few days ago, the montage seemed pretty straightforward it and I do like it. It's my first gaming chair so I wasn't fully sure of some "features" and it's intended to work this way. Basically when I have it lifted all the way up ( reaching about 50cm ) and sit on it, I do feel a bit the wobbliness of the tube, like there's 1-2 cm of play which makes the chair move a little. Nothing noticeable or nothing that impacts the comfort to be honest, but after 8 hours sitting on it you start to "swing" a bit and it kind of becomes noticeable The same goes for the rocking mechanism, even with the thing fully screwed tight, and the rocking blocked, I do get a bit of movement and the chair does "rock" a bit. Did i mess up the montage somehow or it's expected to be like this? Thanks and sorry in advance for my english EDIT - To keep the first post updated, I have now realized that the rocking tension screw is not having any effect and the chair is not rocking in any way. I have opened ticket 2004271036 just in case some mod wants to put a good word. Thanks a lot (\____/) ( ͡ ͡° ͜ ʖ ͡ ͡°) \╭☞ \╭☞ Edited May 1, 2021 by mvet further findings about the chair and its condition
mvet
Now that I noticed, it seems the tension handle has no effect whatsoever...it spins freely I have unmounted the base from the wheel base, and I can see that the tilter tension handle does not move the related thing above.. Third Edit. I removed the cap holder from the tension handle : https://imgur.com/iPdxSMV It looks like it's all the way down. Thinking to "clamp it" trying to move it up again.. I never had a convincing rocking mechanism on this chair since day 1.. Edited April 30, 2021 by mvet

Thanks and sorry in advance for my english I also have the same issue with noticeable wobble regardless of whether the chair is at min or max height. Chair was bought on 8th Jan 21 and had this issue from day one. When I lift the plastic covers and look closely at the lift I can see there is 'play' around the bearings. Shame really because I love everything else about this chair. I previously owned a chair that cost half the price of this one which didn't have this issue. I'm just monitoring if the wobble gets any worst over time. Might try to get a replacement lift in the hope it might be of better build quality. A friend came over this morning to help me out, we tried with a pipe wrench to move the tension screw a bit without success. It's simply stuck, and the chair does not "tilt", "rock" any longer. plus the wobbliness. Do you know if Corsair can just send a replacement part such as this? https://www.amazon.de/-/en/OfficeWorld-Mechanism-Function-Adjustment-Replacement/dp/B07JHQTS2J/ref=sr_1_8?dchild=1&keywords=teel+sitzmechanik+wippfunktion&qid=1619857288&sr=8-8 because this would be just perfect. too bad it's small, so I'd need the Corsair one.. I note that you have already opened a support case so I would hope that Corsair can replace just that part under 2 year warranty. Not sure if you've seen this https://www.corsair.com/uk/en/Categories/Products/Accessories-%7C-Parts/Gaming/Gaming-Chair/T1-RACE-Seat-Tilt-Mechanism/p/CF-8910004. I know it says it's for the T1 but it looks pretty much the same to me. Corsair may be able to confirm if it's the same part used for T3.

I haven't seen it before, I just looked for t3 replacement parts but this T1 base looks exactly the same. I'll wait for a reply on my ticket but I think there will be a solution anyway. Thanks a bunch for this. I do hope they can find a solution for your issue too, my lift doesn't seem to have much play and I'd be happy to help by taking pictures/video if you need to compare a "twin" T3. This being said I really love the chair itself, design and quality are amazing and it looks adult enough :D: . It would be a lot to send it back just for such an issue, although I'm ready to do whatever it takes
mvet
I would really appreciate a reply on my ticket 2004271036 - or perhaps just a confirmation that https://www.corsair.com/uk/en/Categories/Products/Accessories-%7C-Parts/Gaming/Gaming-Chair/T1-RACE-Seat-Tilt-Mechanism/p/CF-8910004?_ga=2.250518982.1910941541.1620116767-1919483358.1619797899 is the same as the T3 rush base? Thank you!
mvet
I have received a very kind reply today - which made me very happy as they will send me the replacement Tilt Mechanism! Guess now the tricky part will be to get the gas tube out :D
