scyclops
After RMAing my first 512 Value Select Stick (see Forum Post #184470) I received a new module with the same problems. Bit errors show up consistently in Memtest with this RAM. I tested the new module I received from the RMA return alone in the system at the following BIOS settings with my Athlon XP 2500+ in a MSI K72N-LSR motherboard. CPU Freq: 166 MHz Memory Frequency: 100% Dim Voltage to 2.7 Volts Resulting Frequency: 166MHz SDRAM CAS Latency: 2.5T SDRAM RAS to CAS Delay (tRCD): 3T SDRAM Row Precharge (tRP): 3T SDRAM Active to Precharge Delay (tRAS): 7T Since RMAing the first stick I also purchased a separate stick of the same type VS512MB400 which has been working flawlessly in my system with no problems running Memtest, so I know its not my system or settings.
