VOID RGB ELITE Wireless wont update firmware

Recommended Posts

my VOID RGB ELITE Wireless Premium Gaming Headset is currently on v0.02, icue tells me there is a newer update an keep nagging me to update.

on starting the update the new firmware is shown as downloading, icue then asks for me to plug the usb cable in. On doing this icue sees the headset, i hear the voice on the headset saying "charging" but icue sits at plug headset into usb and does nothing.

I have removed all other usb devices an tried every usb port on my system, 11 usb ports all giving the same result.

any help with this would be great

thx in advance.

Same issue

Even tried updating to icue 4.

Tried deleting the dong and headset from devices and reinstalling

tried repairing the headset and dongle

several reboots

all usb ports

Basically it will recognize the headset as charging but not as plugged in as usb.

Very frustrating but the headset works. But who knows what the firmware fixes/prevents down the road?

Hey guys!

I solved this problem restarting my computer in safe mode and click update firmware. Didn't discovered exactly what's causing this, but even changing my headset through ticket the problem still happens, so prolly the problem is something with drivers.

Solution:

1) Press windows + R;

2) Type "msconfig" and enter;

3) Select "boot" tab;

4) In boot options mark "Safe boot" + "Network";

5) Press "Apply" and "Ok";

6) Restart your computer, open ICUE and update your firmware;

7) Repeat all steps for DISABLE Safe mode and restart again;

Tell me if it work please <3.

Thank you sir, i owe you a drink when the pubs open here, lol this method worked a treat. Not sure what the update does but atleast icue has stopped nagging me to install it. Thanks once again.

Hi all, I tried your solution and nothing especially the one that marks with "msconfig" I had to review because it cut my main screen.
Being Belgian and going through a translator to translate because I just have notions of English I do my best.
So here I have the same problem as you and here is the solution and mine works.

1. Uninstall and "Delete" all the files when it asks you to do so in the install, there are two options for deleted and checked both.

2. For my part it is a French site and went to this site:
https://www.corsair.com/fr/fr/downloads

3. in the software section DO NOT download version 4.23.137 But version 3.38.88 (for existing devices), installed it and the trick is played, in any case for my helmet corsair void rgb elite its my market. I hope it arranges yours.

Hallo zusammen,
