Justthebasic
I just recently purchased the Scimitar RGB Elite to help with some MMO gaming and noticed that the mouse buttons do not get recognized by my games. After some investigating, I found out you have to program the buttons to keys, in my case I would want to do it from F13-24. Doing some research and forum searching I saw that people would go to ICUE and using actions rebind those keys to the functions keys. I'm having issues because I have the newest version of ICUE which I believe is ICUE4. It switched actions to Key Assignments, no big deal. I've tried using Key Assignments to use the F13-24 keys but it does not work and I've also tried it under Hardware Key Assignments. I tried setting these different keys to see if it would like setting G1 to right-click or the W key or even the number 1 but it still does not work. I know the computer is picking up these buttons and when I set my scene as Type Lighting it recognizes the G keys are buttons. When I closed ICUE I read that the buttons take the effect of keys 1-= but when I pressed those buttons it did not type any of those numbers. I've made sure the mouse has the newest firmware installed as well. I've read that someone was having issues when it was plugged into a 3.0usb slot and I've tried both. Does anyone have any advice on how to make the keys work?
Corsair Employees Corsair Blade Posted April 22, 2021 Corsair Employees Share Posted April 22, 2021 Hi Justthebasic, Just in case this helps to start, please note that "Key Assignments" will only work with iCUE running, and "Hardware Key Assignments" will only work when it *isn't*. Looking at the screenshot your macros look correct. Let's try a clean install of iCUE here as the first step, since it controls the Macros and keybind assignments. Please see the link below: https://help.corsair.com/hc/en-us/articles/360025166712-Perform-a-clean-reinstallation-of-the-Corsair-Utility-Engine-iCUE- If this doesn't help, please open a ticket with support at https://help.corsair.com

This seemed to have fixed the issue. Also thank you for clarifying the difference between regular key assignment and Hardware key assignment.
