datboidere2
I just purchased a Corsair VS1GKit400 that is supposed to run at pc3200. I already have a 512mb Kingston pc3200 and it runs good at pc3200. but when i install the corsiars in, it runs at pc2700. When i use each vendor's memory alone, it runs ok at pc3200. But when i put them together, it runs at pc2700 in dual channel interleaved. does anyone know what is the problem? my brother told me when he was looking around, he heard something on the lines of, the corsairs are double sided memory and it isn't compatible with the kingston which is one sided memory. could that be a problem? Wired
It's never recommended to mix modules from different manufacturers for issues just like this. Doubt single vs. dual sided has anything to do with it though.
