ICUE 4 - Philips Hue

Recommended Posts

So i updated to ICUE 4 instead of ICUE 3.

I saw the "Philips Hue" setting was there.

I have a lot of Philips Hue so i tought i will try it.

But when i enabled it and tried to use it, it just said "Device is not detected on LAN"

I have the Hue app installeret on my pc with no problem.

My PC have both cable to the router and wifi to the router.

Anyone got an idea what i should do?

So long as you have iCUE 4.9.350 installed and have a Gen 2 bridge it will work. If you have a Gen 1 bridge it will not as the API does not support the Gen 1 bridges.

So I have version 4.9.350 and a bridge 2.0 and removed the Philips hue sync app from my pc and its still not getting detected...

Mind providing further details about your network? Routers, switches, home server, mesh wifi, etc...

Have you tried disabling all AV and firewalls on your system?

Disabling AV and firewalls have no effect, PC and hue bridge is connected to Asus blue cave router ethernet ports, no mesh wifi, no home server, no switches... I can see the Hue bridge in my network folder.

You have to uninstall all the way, and make sure that the Philips hue bridge is updated and the restart the bridge and then restart the computer for windows to let the bridge get picked up, then reinstall and then restart again. I have 3 hue bridges and non was working for before doing this. I tried this on more then one computer, this is not a icue problem it is windows and Philips hue software error.

I have a Brigde 2.0

I have no other apps running for controlling my hue.

What exact Hue hub are you using? Do you have any other app running on your system that attempts to control Hue at the same time? For instance you shouldn't be running the Hue app on your PC at the same time as trying to connect to it in iCUE.

Hi,

When I enable the Philips Hue in the iCUE setting then the iCUE software is creating new record in the config.cuecfg with the folowing values and the already predefined PhilipsHueSerialId! In below example I replace the PhilipsHueSerialId with my Hue ID and then registration is working without issues, but unfortunately... still the Philips Hue extension is not working properly in the iCUE. I have list of all my rooms... but everything is disabled! And... the Hue Extension is sending the color scheme to all my Hue registreded lights! I have a party in my house :) :). I don't have an option to change that since everything is disabled!

So i tried this and it helped me to get my Bridge paired with the iCue v.4

I found the >config.cuecfg< at:

C:\Users\USER\AppData\Roaming\Corsair\CUE4

<value name="PhilipsHueSerialId">xxx</value>

I just didn't insert my Hue's ID but just let the field empty

Like: <value name="PhilipsHueSerialId"></value>

Then I tried to pair my bridge and it worked!

@fboban

And... the Hue Extension is sending the color scheme to all my Hue registreded lights! I have a party in my house :) :). I don't have an option to change that since everything is disabled!

Maybe it is about the "Scene - Option"?

You can choose which "Hues" are enabled or disabled for the scenes you choose. So if you split your Hues into different areas you can choose to just enable the one next to your computer to follow the scenes from that one.

Many thanks for the help!

Did anyone figure out how to fix this?

Mine is just never progresses from the "Press the push-link button on the Hue Bridge as indicated" no matter how much I press the button.
Tried going to the config.cuecfg but there is no sign of the "PhilipsHueSerialId" that others mentions, and I tried deleting the entire map to no avail.

My desktop and my Hue is wired on the same network, and the Philips Hue Sync app (that I've uninstalled) worked fine. Any idea what other steps I can take?
