How does the K100 media jogging wheel function even work?

I'm noticing that the jog wheel support is really spotty for a lot of software.

Some things it works fine, but in other things it doesn't even do anything, or does something wrong.

 

So I'd like to know: How does it even work? What API does it use? What instructions does it send out? And why is there no documentation?

 

I'd especially like to get it working in VLC, because that'd be my primary software to use it with.

At this time, the K100 only has full functionality with the following applications:

Spotify,

Apple iTunes,

other select Media players when the application is in focus only

 

Unfortunately the exact method for audio control is proprietary information -- apologies for any inconvenience there.

 

I will absolutely send along your request for adding VLC player to the list of supported applications as feedback. Please let us know if you have absolutely any other questions or concerns.

All right! Cool! It would also be nifty to have it working with Groove music, as it is the default music player after all!

I did bough a K100 recently and i have the same issue. Do you know when VLC will be taken in the list of soft managed by the jog well ?

It would be great to swap music in game 🙂
