pertze
Hello, today I bought my new TwinX1024-3200XL memory and after installation, I tested it with Memtest v1.55 and get so much errors after a few seconds of testing. Here the facts: TwinX1024-3200XL Rev. 1.2 (2 x 512MB dual channel mode)Mainboard Gigabyte GA-8KNXP Rev. 1 (BIOS F13a)manually set the timings to 2-2-2-5 (SPD shows 2.5-2-2-5)tested with dimm voltage normal/+0.1/+0.2/+0.3 (allways same errors)no overclocked components etc. Windows boots normaly but I'm afraid cause of memtest errors :\ I had 4 x CMX256A-3200C2 before on this board and they worked fine, except the timings (different revisions), but no memtest errors. Can you give me some advises please? Best regards, pertze
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted May 6, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted May 6, 2005 Please test the modules one at a time and I would just load setup/optimized defaults and set the Dim Voltage to +.3 Volts and lets make sure one is not failing. pertze
OK, I tested every module one at a time and it seems that only one is defect. With the first one I got errors after a few seconds and the second module is running fine for more than 30 min. memtest now... Edit: I put each module in the same slot
