HK-47
Just got done upgrading my rig with a Hydro X loop. I tried to get away with just using 3 Corsair QL140 fans on the front 420mm radiator but I was getting to much of a temperature delta at full load vs idle. It would get to around 20c Delta. I had the 3 140mm Asus fans laying around so I set it up as push pull and now the delta is 8-12c at full load after 30 min. The XG7 block for the 3090 is great I'm seeing about 10 deg delta for GPU Temps and memory junction stays around the 60's while gaming. The XC7 keeps my 5800x at 77c during Cinebench R20 loops. I did remove all the factory thermal paste and used Grizzly Kryonaut on the GPU and CPU. I am pretty happy with how the loop is functioning now that I added the 3 fans to the front radiator. Jules MK
Looks Great! It's super easy to rotate the CPU plastic housing so the Corsair logo is the right way up, 4 torque screws hold it on to the block - I've swapped mine over as the upside down logo was annoying me! HK-47
Can I swap it with it installed or do I need to remove the block?
Jules MK
Can I swap it with it installed or do I need to remove the block? I think you'll need to remove the block, there are 4 small screws (star drive ones - no idea what they are really called!) that hold the plastic and LEDs to the block. Depends how much you want to have the logo up the other way I guess. The PC does look great :)
HK-47
Im not worried about it enough to remove the block until I need to do maintenance. I can hardly even make out the logo with the lights on. It does bother me though knowing its upside down. I did have the block backwards flow wise and turned it once already. What a pain to remove it. I used kryonaut on it and it was basically glued to it. I couldn't get it off without getting the cpu hot first.
