Hello,

using a corsair commander pro i can set my fans by rpm, but the included commander core can only set either a static rpm speed or by percentage.

Why can we not set the aio fans, which are pwm, to specific rpm, instead of merely a percentage?

Well i guess they programmed the Commander core differently. There's really no other answer to give.

Controlling by RPM is more resource intensive for a worse result. Icue has to constantly read the speed and adjust the PWM signal. CoPro controlled fan speed is not the most stable. I see swings nearing +-80 RPM on it.

Straight PWM control is a lot more stable and takes no resources.. just set a speed, and forget it.. only display the speed for the interface, no control needed. That's why everybody else controls fans this way.

iCUE has always been extremely resource heavy, so i imagine that could be a step they took to make it lighter.
