Vengeance RGB Pro Overheating when using White light

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys, I'm just building a new system and got a hold of 2 Packs of 2x8gb - Total of 32GB Vengeance RGB Pro 3200 (CMW16GX4M2C3200C16) and I seem to be having an issue with one of the sticks in the 2nd slot. It's colour is off compared to the other 3 sticks but worse than that when it's using any white light at all it's overheating pretty badly. If it's left in one of the other lighting effects such as rain or rainbow or even another static colour like red then the temperature returns to around the same as the rest at about 28/29°C.

I have tried reseating the memory as well as trying them all in different slots. My motherboard Bios is also up to date. It's using the latest (Beta) from the ASUS site. Apart from sending it back I'm not sure what else I can do.

Video attached showing it happening.

Have I got a faulty RGB Stick?

Any advice would be great thanks
