Vegan
that is typical and the fan is indeed thermally driven this is done to extend fan service life and reduce noise at idle
Corsair Employees Corsair Notepad Posted March 11, 2021 Corsair Employees Share Posted March 11, 2021 i have a new build and noticed on first start up the fan in my CX550 is not spinning at all. this is a unit with the thermally controlled 120mm fan. Is my power supply bad? To the OP. The CX550 fan should spin up on boot and indeed is NOT a Zero-RPM power supply fan. If the fan does not spin up we would recommend you contact our support team by opening a ticket at https://help.corsair.com that is typical and the fan is indeed thermally driven this is done to extend fan service life and reduce noise at idle Vegan please do not provide information on a product if you are not 100% sure you are providing the correct information. This is the second time I have had to warn you about spreading incorrect information.
Vegan
The fans are so quiet it's hard to tell and I am not into sticking my finger in to tell checking my data on the CX the fans are low RPM so if its not spinning at all then by all means click on the support link above arrange an RMA most of the model lines are now zero fan, CX is an older model Edited March 12, 2021 by Vegan
