Hallo Zusammen,

ich habe seit ein paar Tagen einen 5000x RGB und möchte dort gern erweitern. Würde eine der beiden Verbindungen Sinn machen oder würde es sich anbieten einen Commander Core mit zu verwenden.

Hello together,

I have a 5000x RGB since a few days and would like to get there. Would one of the two matched make sense or give it up what to use a commander core with.

Hello everyone !

I have a 360 mm rad (54 mm thick one) on the side of the case with 3 x ML-120's on it.

My question is - will my 5000D have enough clearance to also fit a 280 mm rad at the top of the case ?

Now i am curious what to order because i am doubting between a new Corsair Build or a NZXT build. I feel a little disapointed in Corsair at the moment by the whole iCue 4 thing and killing my devices by making them "commercial aged".

I want the following setup:

CC-9011213-WW iCUE 5000X RGB Tempered Glass Mid-Tower ATX PC Smart Case — White
CW-9060051-WW iCUE H150i ELITE CAPELLIX Liquid CPU Cooler — White
CO-9050137-WW iCUE SP120 RGB ELITE Performance 120mm White PWM Fan — Triple Pack with Lighting Node CORE
ML120 PRO RGB LED 120MM PWM Premium Magnetic Levitation Fan — Single Pack

My setup will be following:

Radiator + 3x ML 120 in top

1 x ML 120 in back (why can't I buy a white one?) - controlled by own node

3 x SP 120 elite RGB front - controlled with supplied node

3 x SP 120 elite RGB white at side - controlled with supplied node

1 x Node pro in trash

Is this a good config or do i mis something. For example, do I have to buy?

CC-8900526 iCUE 5000X PSU Shroud Extension Cover, White

Or is there a better solution like

CC-9011213-WW iCUE 5000X RGB Tempered Glass Mid-Tower ATX PC Smart Case — White
CW-9060051-WW iCUE H150i ELITE CAPELLIX Liquid CPU Cooler — White
CO-9050137-WW iCUE SP120 RGB ELITE Performance 120mm White PWM Fan — Triple Pack with Lighting Node CORE
CO-9050136-WW iCUE SP120 RGB ELITE Performance 120mm White PWM Fan — Single Pack

and find a way to hook up all USB devices.

Or:

1x CC-9011213-WW iCUE 5000X RGB Tempered Glass Mid-Tower ATX PC Smart Case — White
1 x CW-9060051-WW iCUE H150i ELITE CAPELLIX Liquid CPU Cooler — White
3 x CO-9050091-WW LL120 RGB 120mm Dual Light Loop White RGB LED PWM Fan — Single Pack
1 x CO-9050092-WW LL120 RGB 120mm Dual Light Loop White RGB LED PWM Fan — Triple Pack with Lighting Node PRO
1 x CO-9050091-WW LL120 RGB 120mm Dual Light Loop White RGB LED PWM Fan — Single Pack

Only i have the feeling something is not well.

Or go with:

1 x CC-9011213-WW iCUE 5000X RGB Tempered Glass Mid-Tower ATX PC Smart Case — White
3 x CO-9050136-WW iCUE SP120 RGB ELITE Performance 120mm White PWM Fan — Single Pack
1 x CW-9060051-WW iCUE H150i ELITE CAPELLIX Liquid CPU Cooler — White
1 x CO-9050075-WW ML120 PRO RGB LED 120MM PWM Premium Magnetic Levitation Fan — Single Pack
1 x CC-8900526 iCUE 5000X PSU Shroud Extension Cover, White

Control 6 fans with included commander and pwm controller,

Control 3 radiator fan's and extra exaust fan (ML120) with the controller of the AIO.

Seeing quite a few complaints about iCue 4 removing old legacy products. The same thing happened with the move from Corsair Link to iCue many years ago. You can't expect a company to continue supporting a product long past it's realistic relevance.

Yes but they do not make it easy to build a new case with new products. I just want a new case with 7 fans all rgb and a 3 fan AIO but there is no way to understand what products you need. And I don't want to end up like my first Cordair build that I have to return my fans to the shop because they could not be combined on a single lightning node.

Hi, So I'm currently using the Corsair 465x case and I'm planning to get the 5000x case. Can you please help me out with my concerns?

1) The HDD cage when moved to the middle position, would it disturb the fan mounts on the side of the case? In other words, can I have 3 side intake fans and still have the HDD cage installed in the middle position and that doesn't obstruct the fans by any chance?

2) How is the thermals/airflow on the case, since I'm from Asia the climate is really hot during the summers

It will not obstruct the the fans but after using the this casing for a while and advice from forums members advice here my finding as above.

1. Like you I am living in Asia, Singapore. You know how hot and humid all year. My ambient temp around 27 degree C, which air conditioner on while computing. My MB around 30-31 C and CPU around 32-33 while idle. Please see detail below..

1. CPU 30-31 C while surfing net.

2. GPU 33- 34 C while idle (Asus ROG STRIX RTX 3060).

3. Samsung Evo Plus NVME 1TB idle 40 -42 C, Load 50-52.

4. Hard drive WD Black 6TB 41 C MAX 45 C

The point is no mater where you place you hard drive in 5000X, the temperature of HDD will will not improve (sorry my testing finding). HDD drive meant to be warmer and you do not have to be worried. My NAS cage HDD drive running far warmer than this.

Enjoyed your rig. No worries.

Hi All

Right now i am struggling to keep things up to date, as of recently You only have a very short period to edit your own posts on this forum. once that period has passed the post becomes locked, which means chasing up forum mods/admins to arrange a time to edit or to ask them to do it for me, given i am UK. and those guys are generally on the other side of the pond, time zones dont gel well at all.

unfortunately it's not looking like this situation will change :( :( kinda sucks being locked out of my own content.

Sorry to anyone that uses these resources... not my fault :(

G'day mate! So I've got the 5000x and the H150i elite capellix, and I plan to get 4 more fans for a total of 10.

Your setup diagram shows you hooking up to a commander pro and a commander core. However, would it be possible to not purchase the pro and just use the case pwm repeater for 6 fans and the included commander core for 4 fans? I would like to control all 10 fans from icue , both rgb and fan speed.

Is there a cable that goes out from the pwm repeater that could be plugged into the commander core? So it would be the 3 aio fans + 1 exhaust directly into commander core + the 6 intake fans into pwm repeater into cc . Tell me if that works. Would LNC go into CC as well ? or mobo?

Can't see any reason that wouldn't work :) The PWM Hub has it's own power as well, so don't believe it would push the limits of the Commander Pro. I'm sure the Grand Master of All Things Spinny - Zotty, will have more knowledge than myself.

I only ask because it doesn't seem that anyone did it that way, including Zotty. He used a Commander Pro for extra fans instead of routing the pwm repeater into the Commander Core that comes included with the AIO. I just want to know if routing through the pwm hub would not allow control of those fans in icue, the speed at least.

Or would it be better to buy a splitter and get all 6 intake fans into the CC that way?

yes you can use as many repeater hubs as you like. and yes you could add a lighting node core for the rgb but no it wont plug into the commander core (it has no usb header). you will be neediing 2 x 9pin internal usb headers...

So if the LNC is instead plugged into my ASUS mobo , will the fans connected to the pwm repeater work with icue?

Why will I need 2 usb headers?

one usb header for the Commander Core and one for the Lighting node Core.. and as long as the PWM repeater is plugged into one of the Commander Cores PWM headers.. yes you will gain control of the fans attached to it (they will all appear as a single fan)

Does the 5000x have any distro plate we can use?
