Corsair virtuoso RGB White noise and Static noise

Recommended Posts

Its the iCUE Software who's making this white noise effect.

Can we get a older version of ICUE and see if the issue is still there?!!

This is unacceptable because i cant use any of my mouse's side buttons or my keyboard RGB ECT. The only away to remove white noise is to remove 100% ICUE From the system.

I even installed a new W10 last night.

Sidetone has nothing to do with this issue. Just by having the files(icue) on my pc even with the app OFF. I got this massive white noise problem.

it's actually so bad.

This was not a issue before. This probably a bug on the app.

So you going to fix this?! This headset is 200€. And we having this type of issues.

<.<

Your ICUE app is broken for over a year.

I am about to return this virtuoso headset if you dont fix this issue.

I got mouse, keyboard and they use ICUE.

Right now i got no RGB at all on my keyboard and mouse because ICUE breaks the audio quality of the headset.

I cant stand this whitenoise/static noise.

Fix your damn issue. I said it before. And i will say it again.,

This headset was 200€ RETAIL.

Hi GenomeSoldier

I see that Notepad already suggest you check the Sidetone option

I'll reiterate that you should double check it, or simply disconnect the microphone to see if the microphone (or the software integration of the microphone) is the source of the issue - which would be confirmed if removing the mic stopped the sound.

I'd also strongly recommend that you contact our support team at https://support.corsair.com so that we can gather some more detailed info to track down the exact source of the issue

Hello Mr Mordered. i Already told Notpad. That Sidetone has nothing to do with this issue.

Sidetone On or Off i still get white noise. This is legit annoying Mordred.

I can listen to this issue while playing games and listening to music.

If i remove the app 100% with revo uninstaller. The issue is all gone.

I even tried closing the app and every dll file.

The only way to fix this issue is to remove ICUE 100% from the system. Every single file, folder and dll.

Can you give me a link for a older version of ICUE? Because this issue is new. I didn't had this problem when i bought the headset. Cheers.

I legit love this headset. It feels Premium and it sounds Premium. But this Icue problem is annoying :(

Mordred ? corsair emailed me last night. Your fix didnt do anything.

I still got static noise on the headset with ICUE installed on my PC.

Can we get a fix for this or i am asking my money back. I cant stand this noise.

Without ICUE i dont have light's on my mouse or keyboard.

Why dont you fix this?! There's people reporting this for over a year already.

WOW.

Hello Albert. The problem is not with the mic but with the headset left and right ear. There's white noise coming from both sides with ICUE installed on the system.

Support told me to send my headset to you guys. The headset is not broken. because it works fine without ICUE.

I said to say that almost one year later this issue remains!

In my case is a Virtuoso SE, that I've bough after months of savings, and started with noise after a system reinstall.

Fortunatelly, there are dedicated users who share different actions taken in order to fix it. Taking the quote from the original post from @Legion75  who has found a way to get rid of the static noise and keep iCUE for other periperpals.

Big thanks to you sir @Legion75

I recently bought the "Corsair HS70 Pro Wireless" headsets, on the first use everything went well, but after installing the ICUE software I started to get a background noise in the sound. After a lot of research I came to the conclusion that it was the software because if I uninstall the software the noise disappears. The problem with not having the ICUE software is that I don't have anything that tells me the battery or the voice prompts, so I tried to find another fix that didn't uninstall the software and with a few tries I managed to find a fix.

FIX

1. Install ICUE (if you haven't installed it)
2. Go to Windows Device Manager
3. Uninstall the "corsair composite virtual input device" found in "Human Interface Devices" (If a checkbox appears in the confirmation menu where you uninstall devices, don't forget to select it)
4. Uninstall the Headset device found in "Sound, video and game controllers" (in my case the device name is "CORSAIR HS70 Pro Wireless Gaming Headset")(If a checkbox appears in the confirmation menu where you uninstall devices, don't forget to select it)
5. Restart the pc
6. After restart the problem should be resolved

P.S: I'm not sure if the ICUE EQ works because I don't notice a difference between the EQs even before doing this fix, I also don't know if the 7.1 works correctly because I don't use it. Otherwise everything seemed to work fine.

It shouldn't be necessary to repeat the fix until ICUE gets an update, after several restarts the fix continues to work but I think that when ICUE performs an update the driver should be installed again.

Hope this helps 🙂
