timeToy
I have 3 monitors #1: Portrait mode on the left side #2: Main Monitor 21x9 #3: Landscape mode on top of the Main Monitor I have my LS100 Starter kit installed behind monitor #2. - If I only enable Monitors #2 and #3 the Video Lighting option monitor selection show both monitors and they match the physical monitors, all works as intended. No problems - If the #1 monitor is enabled, then I can see the 3 monitors to choose from the Video Lighting option monitor selection list, with the proper names, BUT selecting them do not select the proper monitor, as a matter of fact selecting 2 of the monitors does nothing and the only monitor that work is then mislabeled (labelled as monitor #2 when it picked up monitor #3). This is a very annoying bug that prevent people with 3 monitor to use the product as intended. Thanks
Tone71
I have the same issue and have raised a ticket. I have 3 monitors, main is 3440x1440 ultrawide, 2nd is 2560x1440 and 3rd is 800x480. Windows detects them in this order, left to right. I have the strips on my main monitor and in icue 4 software i have them set up for video and have the choice of monitors "LG Ultrawide", Generic PnP monitor 1 and Generic Pnp monitor 2. If i choose LG Ultrawide the strips react to my 2nd monitor, if I choose Generic #1 they react to 3rd monitor, if i choose Generic #2 they don't react to any monitors. Understandably this is very frustrating. I have clean installed twice (uninstalled icue, cleared appdata folders and registry settings) but the issue persists. Corsair, do you have any advice or a fix? Edit: just wanted to add that main monitor is displayport, other 2 are hdmi. Reactive video lighting was working on icue 3 but when i only had 2 monitors, stopped working when i got additional monitor. Tone71
For those that are interested or having this same issue, Corsair have confirmed that iCUE does not properly detect monitors when more than 2 are attached, even if only using 1 for ambient video lighting source. Disappointed to say the least. Any chance of a fix Corsair? While I wait I must choose between leaving my third monitor redundant, or my £120 lighting strips... I just upgraded my pc and lo and behold the lighting stopped working (I somehow got it reliably working on my old pc with 3 screens). so here it is... 1. Go into your display settings in windows 10 and open up icue. 2. Set the screens you DO NOT want your lighting to capture to 'mirror' (ie on my system i mirror screens 2 and 3 as i want the lighting to work with screen 1) 3. change the drop down on your 'monitor to capture' in icue to any screen except the one you want to capture (in my system it puts monitor 1 as 'display 2' so i switch it to 3) and then back to the screen you want to capture. (monitor 1) 4. unmirror (after doing it a few times you won't even have to apply it because you can flip the setting before it reverts) your other screens. This will persist until a reboot (or sometimes if the screens are off for long periods, like overnight). I know this is a pain in the *** for something that should just work. BUT it gets the job done until corsair fixes it (if they ever do).
Repton_3
Thank you @ponytrix. Messy workaround but it works a treat.
Le_Kronik
One year later, the problem is still here. Does anyone has an idea on how to fix it ? I've got the exact same problem with triple screen (1st : Odyssey G5 27" 2560x1440 as a main screen, LS100 on that one, 2nd : AOC 27G2U 1920x1080 one the left side of my Odyssey, 3rd : Iiyama G-Master Black Hawk G2530HSU 1920x1080 above the AOC) and basically the same problem as described by the author. I've first encountered it back in august 2022, just after I bought the LS100. As a french user, i've posted the problem on the french section (original post linked at the end of that one) BUT, the difference i've met is that my LS100 curiously worked proprely after one change. All my screens were connected with display port except the Iiyama which were connected with HDMI. So, just to be sure, I've changed the cable for a Display Port too... and all worked fine with no special change in icue ! HOORAY. For the french Corsair moderator who helped me (and who never mentionned the problem was known by Corsair don't know if he was aware of tha)t, it could be a problem of management by Windows or by the GPU itself. Sadly, today i've changed my Display Port cable of the Iiyama by a longer one, and the problem is back. First cable : https://www.amazon.fr/Cable-DisplayPort-Display-Port-HOTRON/dp/B012UJ8E4W New cable : https://www.amazon.fr/gp/product/B07PPS1KTJ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Anyway, no change for my Odyssey but it's not working anymore for it. Just wanted to share a quick and dirty way to automate this, because it gets tedious doing this manually since I don't leave my machine running. 1) Prevent iCue from starting automatically Open Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc) > Select the Startup tab > Right click iCue > Click Disable. This is necessary because the monitor reset needs to be performed before iCue starts. The script that follows will take over the starting of iCue at the right time. 2) Open Notepad and copy these 4 lines into it Displayswitch 4 timeout /t 5 Displayswitch 3 "C:\Program Files\Corsair\CORSAIR iCUE 4 Software\iCUE Launcher.exe" --autorun 3) Save the file to the startup folder so it runs every time you boot your computer File> Save As > Change Save as Type to All Files (*.*) Give it a name that ends with .bat, (example: DisplayReset.bat) and save it to the following location: C:\Users\<YourUserName>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\StartupAlternatively, save the file anywhere > Right-click your start button > Select Run > type shell:startup > Click OK > Then cut and paste the .bat file into this folder. Notes: You may have to increase the number after "timeout /t" if it takes longer for Windows to do the reset on your monitor. Displayswitch is a built in executable for changing display settings. It's the same as using Windows Key + P. "4" sets your monitors to second screen only mode. "3" sets them back to Extend mode. I've never had to do this with my 3 monitor setup until I upgraded my rig (Basically all new components, but same monitors). My last rig did use an HDMI connection for one of the monitors, so maybe using DisplayPort for all 3 is the cause for this issue. I'm not holding out any hope since this thread is this old, but I really hope Corsair fixes this so these workarounds aren't necessary.
