Corsair Employees Corsair Mint Posted February 17, 2021 Corsair Employees Share Posted February 17, 2021 Can you try updating with only your mouse and keyboard connected? I've seen issues arise in the past if you have too many devices connected.
Gotchapine007
That was a great suggestion. I just tried, removed everything, but it did not work :-(
akeil
The problem is with the Corsair Link 4 software. If you disable the service in msconfig or uninstall it, the update should go through. Note: I did this and I was able to get the installation to work, but now I cannot launch or repair Link. I am working direct with One support on getting that fixed, but just a heads up that it may not work and you'll have to contact them as well. Running without Corsair Link at the moment, but afraid of overheating without the fan control.
EchoSierra
Something you could try is to go to the registry editor (win + R, regedit) and then follow the directory: Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HARDWARE\DESCRIPTION\System\BIOS On the right hand side look for a name called SystemProductName and make sure that the data reads CORSAIR ONE or something similar. If it doesn't, you will need to right click on SystemProductName and click Modify and change the value data to CORSAIR ONE. Some people (myself included) were not able to install corsair link after a fresh install of windows, as this deletes the identity of the Corsair ONE. It only worked after following the steps above. I know that we are talking about a windows update but maybe this could be the problem? Also, make sure you are installing the latest version of corsair link. The one in the sticky thread. https://forum.corsair.com/v2/showthread.php?t=175259
SophusAJ
Thanks for the reply. It is already called "CORSAIR ONE" and I did try with the most recent Corsair Link. Got any other suggestions?
MrPace
Also, make sure you are installing the latest version of corsair link. The one in the sticky thread. https://forum.corsair.com/v2/showthread.php?t=175259Link is still broken...
cpalir
Hello, Same issue there with CORSAIR ONE 2017; I was unable to run the 20H2 update on Windows Pro before unintalling Corsair Link 4. Once the update done I can install back Corsair Link for Corsair One found on Corsair website but the launch of Corsair link generate a blue screen, fatal error and crash the PC. Even the restore of windows 10 generate blue screen during installation at 66%. No other choice than using an external recovery disk to finally install properly Windows 10 PRO. I haven't yet re-tried to install and launch Corsair Link as I don't want to crash the computer. Does anybody know if iCUE 3 is enough to control the temperature of the computer ? I am relying on motherboard to control the fan speed; but I guess it is not controlling the pumps ? Am I right ? Is anybody has been able to install and run Corsair Link with Windows 10 PRO 20H2 ? Thank you for your help
Gotchapine007
I run 20h2 with Corsair Link but in order to do the update from windows 10 1909 to 20h2 I had to completely wipe my windows installation and start from scratch. After that I re-installed Icue and it works fine.
