renebonvanie
My system shipped with BIOS version 2.CO and the driver page (https://www.corsair.com/us/en/Categories/Products/Systems/CORSAIR-VENGEANCE-i7200-Series-Gaming-PC/p/CS-9050001-NA#tab-downloads) now shows that version 2.CP is available. However, I don't see release notes for the new version. Are those available elsewhere?
Corsair Employees Corsair Mint Posted February 12, 2021 Corsair Employees Share Posted February 12, 2021 Mostly, if there's a BIOS update then it's generally to address a security vulnerability.
renebonvanie
I saw that a new version --2CA-- of the BIOS was posted. Its date is 5/6/2021. Since the previous version was 2CP, is this right? A comes before P, right?
Corsair Employees Corsair Caliente Posted June 3, 2021 Corsair Employees Share Posted June 3, 2021 The one posted to the Web Site (2CA) is the latest BIOs update. The notation at the end don't really mean anything.
renebonvanie
Really? When I tried to apply it, the BIOS flash utility simply refuses it. It reads it, says it can't be used when you have a Celeron chip, and then drops back in the file selection screen. I have the i9-10850K CPU and Z490-A PRO motherboard (i.e stock i7200). What gives? TheNewMeta
In other threads, others (including myself) have the same issue.

I apologize if this is a stupid question, no offense but there are two seperate BIOS updates for the i7200 on Corsairs website. One for 11th gen chips and one for 10th and before. I assume you are not trying the 11th gen BIOS update on your 10 series chip?

I decided to try both, both did the same thing. I then investigated, and they are both the same file, so it's not that. They both have a SHA256 of 24E6A17AB17010BEECA7DD273FC338D382222C79E6233E9EE6743292E699BE65
