Blacksad
Hey there guys! Question: What is the purpose of the Y splitter cable included with LS100 strips? I can't get it to actually light up strips on both sides of the Y cable when connecting strips, no matter which way I try to set it up. I was looking at some off brand splitter cables online, but it seems like these should perform the same function. Has anyone gotten these things to work?? Corsair Employees Corsair Fer Posted February 4, 2021 Corsair Employees Share Posted February 4, 2021 (edited) The Y cable included in the extensions is to ensure LEDs receive adequate power. Please disregard my attachment. Edited February 4, 2021 by Corsair Fer
DevBiker
It's not really a splitter. It's intended to inject power at the other end of a long series of strips to ensure that all of the LEDs get power (as Corsair Fer said). Splitters usually split the signal to two identical strips; it's not likely that your third party splitters are going to be quite the same. I'd check with the vendor to be sure.
