AX1500i Random restarts - 3.3v issue?

Recommended Posts

Hi

My PC started randomly restarting yesterday, so - I checked the PSU, and the 3.3v rail appears out of spec - the BIOS is still reading the 3.3v rail fine, but - just wondering if the below is a sign of impending doom (and potentially causing the restarts), or if the reading drifts etc and I should ignore this.

PS - the restarts can happen at any point, even during PC POST (so not necessarily a loading issue)

Thanks for thoughts.

FWIW I appear to have resolved my own issue...

It seems (oddly) that there may have been a grounding issue appear from nowhere with an HDMI cable that was plugged into my graphics card...

After removing the HDMI cable, the voltage on the 3.3v rail has normalised (3.38v) and the PC is behaving itself again...

I've never seen anything like this in all my time building PCs!

Are your outlets properly grounded?
