Fusion450
Hello all, I just recently built a new rig and I'm experiencing some issues with the memory (CMW32GX4M4D3600C18) that I purchased. The temps while playing games are very high or at temps that I'm not used to seeing. While playing Path of Exile (not the most optimized game), the temps get up to 60 degrees Celsius. Some of the issues I'm also experiencing with this kit are with the DOCP settings. When it's set to 3600Mhz the system is unstable and COD Warzone crashes with errors. I ran memtest86 with 4 sticks and Test 8 showed numerous errors. When I ran 2 modules, errors were not detected no matter what modules were installed. I was able to leave DOCP on and change from 3600 to 3400Mhz and that seemed to have stabilized the system. No additional crashes in Warzone. Also, I just noticed this today when I was looking in ASUS AI Suite 3. DIMM's 1-3 show the Manufacturer as Corsair and the Part number as CMW32GX4M4D3600C18. DIMM 4 shows the Manufacturer as Exel and the Part number as CMW3. I'm not sure if this is just a graphical bug or something actually wrong with the DIMM. CPU: AMD 5900X Motherboard: Asus B500-F Gaming (Bios 1602) GPU: EVGA RTX 3080 (Newest Driver) Memory: Corsair Vengenace RGB Pro CMW32GX4M4D3600C18 Case: Lian Li 011 Dynamic (Mid Tower) CPU Cooler: Corsair H150 Elite Capellix Any help would be greatly appreciated. wim-bart
CMW32GX4M4D3600C18 is not compatible. You need either (watch version numbers also when ordering): CMW32GX4M4K4400C18 ver 4.31 CMW32GX4M4K4000C19 ver 4.31 CMW32GX4M4C3600C18 ver 4.31 CMW32GX4M4C3600C18W ver 4.31 CMW32GX4M2Z3200C16 ver 3.
LeDoyen
also regarding temperatures, watch for some pretty hot RGB profiles like full white that tend to heat up the modules. But with 4 sticks you'll always see higher temps because there's basically no airflow between sticks and heat tend to build up a bit. That said, although warm, 60 is not alarming yet
Fusion450
Do you think this kit of memory will ever become compatible with this motherboard? Also I was running a half blue and half white RGB.
