grirvan
After still having frequent game crashes with my RTX 3080 FTW3 due to transient spikes, I finally broke down and ordered a Corsair AXI 1600, leaving a Thermaltake Toughpower Grand RGB 850W 80 PLUS Gold, Full Modular. My question is with single rail and multi rail, which setting should I use and do I have to plug things in a special way or do i even have to worry about it? Also, is the Corsair monitoring software worth using?
Cavok
Hi grirvan. Good choice on PSU - I have it myself. The single/multirail just has to do with overcurrent protection - by default all ports have a 40AMP protection set which accounts for 480 Watts per PCIE 12v connector :D - The 3080 will max pull 150w per connector assuming you use two separate cables. So just leave it single rail mode for max protection. Cheers C EDIT: regarding the Corsair monitoring software - both Corsair Link an iCue works fine - I do prefer HWinfo64 in general but as it does not support the Ax1600i properly and it seems there is no plan to get it fixed you must use the Corsair tools..
